LIFESTYLE SOLUTIONS:
- BATH – Take a neutral temperature bath to eliminate the headache. You can also take a hot foot bath to see if that will work best for you.
- COLD COMPRESSES – Apply the cold compress to the place where the pain is coming from. This will reduce any kind of muscle spasms and at the same time, constrict blood vessels. Make compress by leaving a washcloth in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes. Then the dip the cloth in water with ice-cubes. Wring the cloth and apply on headache (pain area).
- DIET – Try not to overeat and add a lot of fiber to your food. Use a lot of B vitamin, including niacin (2,000 mg). In addition, use vitamin B5 (50 mg). Eat your vitamin A and Iron infused vegetables rather than chemical supplements. Add magnesium to your diet. Individuals with magnesium deficiency usually have tension headaches. Reduce your intake of salt.
- THE EVERYDAY – Exercise regularly, but not during severe headaches. Get sufficient sleep. Let your standing posture be tall and your sitting as well. Learn to breathe deeply.
