The brothers both looked at the cup;
it was bluish green with a picture of a dragon baked into its outer surface.
They could both feel its aura of healing and energy washing over them
like renewed sunshine of past forgiven deeds.
Even standing back a distance from the cup,
they could both feel the cells of their bodies awakening to the beauty
of the garden surrounding them.
They could sense the flowers in the dragon cup enjoying a status
of perfect health and unfettered growth.

It was as if the cup opened the hidden books of their minds
to confirm that all living things were really connected.
They could feel the roots of the plants fashioning themselves into
instruments of life that played with the harmony of the earth
that embraced them.

They could hear the bees and the dragon flies beating
and buzzing their wings in the celebration of life and
its uniqueness which sustained them. They heard the secret
whisperings between the evergreen plants and multicolored flowers.
The men felt the effortless wonder of all living things around them
to fulfill the contract and promise of growing into the best versions
of themselves and rejecting anything that distracted from that goal.
The brothers looked at each other, instantly knowing they would need
to replace the flowers of the cup with the healing thirst of water.

The energized water because of the cup, they knew, would bring their
younger brother Jack back from the edge of death’s calling,
as he lay in bed.
The brothers turned their attention back to the cup as one of them
reached out their hand to grasp an authentic ambassador of life.
